Kentucky Creed

I pledge my allegiance to Kentucky
Her interests shall be my interests,
Her law my law,
Her motto shall be my creed:
"United we stand, divided we fall."

The American's Creed

"I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a Republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union, one inseparable, established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.
"I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws; to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies."

William Tyler Page

The Democratic Creed

I believe in the Democratic Party as the party whose principles work for the best and highest interests of all the people;

I believe with Tomas jefferson in equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state of persuasions, religious or political;

In the support of state governments in all of their rights;

In the preservation of the general government in its whole constitutional vigor;

And since government derives its just powers from the consent of the governed, I believe in a zealous care of the rights of election by the people.

To the upholding of these principles, I pledge my best efforts.
